Best in Show Winner for 17th Annual Exposed DC Photography Show

Feeling very honored to have been named a Best in Show Winner for 17th Annual Exposed DC Photography Show. I was one of five to get this award, among 35 other extremely talented photographers.

Huge thanks to Candace Dane for selecting my photo. Here’s what Candace had to say:

“The motion of the train juxtaposed against the static guitarist is a beautiful visualization of music’s ability to stop time. Steaffens’ use of heavy vignetting creates a spotlight on his subject, offering him a stage and reverence that street performers are often denied.”

If you are in the DC area, come check the show at Lost Orgins Gallery in Mt. Pleasant on June 4th from 3-6pm!
